Emma McGuigan is the Group Technology Officer for Accenture’s Communications, Media and Technology business. She is a lover of all things technology and is responsible for the group’s strategy and positioning around the likes of machine learning, artificial intelligence and cognitive computing.

A keen triathlete, wife and mother of three, Emma joined Accenture after graduating with a Master’s degree in electronics from the University of Edinburgh. She dedicates a lot of her time to inspiring young women to embark on STEM careers and has been named as one of the 50 most influential women in UK IT by Computer Weekly magazine for four years running.

In 2013, Emma was made a fellow of the Chartered Institute for IT. She currently serves on the advisory board member of Digital Leaders, the Innovation Council for the CBI and is a dedicated trustee for the Orchid Project.
