Join us at the US Sterling Assets event in London with Rt Hon Liam Fox MP
What does the UK’s investment position with the US look like in 2018? The previous CBI US Sterling Assets report found that the UK remained the largest single investor in the United States of America, supporting over one million jobs across the country.
Trade and investment links run deep between the US and UK, however, more recently, the future of our trading relationships are less clear, as the UK embarks on its journey to exit the EU and also as the current US administration evaluates its international trade approach.
The CBI is launching the 9th edition of the CBI report, US Sterling Assets, in partnership with Eli Lilly.
A keynote address will be delivered by the Rt Hon Liam Fox MP, Secretary of State for International Trade. His address will be followed by a panel discussion with an opportunity for delegates to ask questions.
Leading the event and setting out the CBI's focus on international relationships, with particular emphasis on the UK-US partnership, will be Josh Hardie, Deputy Director General-Policy and Campaigns, CBI.
With the report launching at a pivotal time, the event will draw on findings which profile the impact of the UK's foreign direct investment in the US and highlights the value of the UK-US trade relationship more widely.
